A Visit to an English country house

No I haven't been to England, but the Museum Fine Arts Houston, has an extraordinary exhibit called "Houghton Hall, Portrait of an English Country House". If you're a lover of historical textiles, this is an exhibit you should see. Tapestries, rugs, furniture, paintings and some costumes are exhibited  in recreations of several rooms from the hall.... In the Works

Warping of the painted silk  has begun. It's ready to be sleyed and threaded. The warp was painted earlier at a dye day at the Contemporary Handweavers of Houston's Guild House.
